Full Time

A leading footwear retailer is seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Junior Buyer to take ownership of their own product category and play a key role in driving performance, product development, and trend‑led range building. In this role, the successful candidate will manage trade meetings and sales analysis in partnership with the merchandising team, present confidently in cross‑functional meetings, and work closely with design on range builds, styling direction, and trend forecasting.

You will oversee the full product development process, including fabric approvals, supplier negotiation, and fit session management alongside the technical team. The Junior Buyer will also collaborate with the marketing team to support campaign planning and execution, ensuring product stories and seasonal messages align with commercial strategy. While experience across multiple categories is welcome, a background in footwear is highly desirable, and candidates with strong transferable skills and some footwear exposure will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, excellent trend awareness, and a confident approach to competitor shopping and market analysis. You will be capable of deputising for the Buyer or Senior Buyer when required, demonstrating leadership and sound commercial judgement. Experience managing a BAA, overseeing fit sessions, and successfully building and delivering ranges in a previous role is essential. This position is suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced retail environment, combines creativity with commercial thinking, and is ready to take the next step in their buying career.

The salary is paying up to £36,000
