Technical Programme Manager - Trade Planning and Promotions
This is a Technical Programme Manager role within the Commercial area, initially managing large, significant programmes of change related to the systems and processes underpinning how we manage promotional activity.
We are an ambitious Programme, Product & Engineering Team at Tesco aiming to deliver value and quality to Tesco, in particular Suppliers and Buyers by creating more self-sufficient, cost-effective, informative applications to assist users to complete their day-to-day activities.
It’s an exciting, dynamic area at the heart of what it means to be a retailer as the systems we operate are the backbone for all products in Tesco – covering the product details themselves, the suppliers and sellers we work with, the promotions we run and the ranging and positioning of products in our stores.
This role specifically relates to the complex systems and processes that manage promotions and the significant changes we’re doing to improve them. This includes transforming our trade planning, ensuring that the ranging and set up of the store aligns with promotional activity, whilst leveraging AI and machine learning insights to optimise promotion effectiveness.
These programmes are cross-functional, covering multiple teams and delivering directly to the value of the business by increasing the net profitability of promotions.
