What you'll be doing
As an Assistant eCommerce Trading Manager you’ll own how one of Boots’ most visible beauty categories shows up on boots.com and how it performs day to day. This is a hands-on commercial role where you’ll shape launches, trade plans and category presentation to drive revenue, profit and conversion.
Working on-site in Nottingham with the Beauty eCommerce Trading team, you’ll use data and insight to spot opportunities, influence stakeholders and keep the category trading brilliantly. If you enjoy combining commercial judgement, digital know-how and real ownership, this is a chance to make a measurable impact in a category that matters to millions of customers.
Key responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day trading of the Skincare category on boots.com
- Shape how the category, brands and products are presented online to support growth and conversion
- Deliver new product launches, sales plans and online trade plans across the category
- Own the digital plan for your brands and category, making sure activity supports commercial goals
- Use data and insight to review performance, identify opportunities and improve the customer journey
- Work closely with internal teams and external brand partners to keep the category well supported
- Support development initiatives and process improvements across ecommerce trading
- Ensure legal and safe trade of the category online while delivering against key KPIs
- Help drive revenue and profit growth, market share ambitions and strong online execution
- Experience in a commercial role within eCommerce, retail trading or buying
- Strong understanding of online trading levers and performance marketing
- Confidence using data and insight to build plans, make decisions and improve performance
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence others and hold people to account
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the confidence to use initiative and take calculated risks
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on-site in Nottingham
- Willingness to work outside normal office hours when needed, including 5am starts one or two times a month and occasional overnight work
- Experience trading within beauty, skincare, health or a closely related retail category
- Experience owning or contributing to digital launch plans for brands or products
- Good understanding of how onsite presentation influences customer acquisition and conversion
- Experience working across cross-functional teams in a large retail or ecommerce environment
- A track record of spotting process improvements and helping teams trade more effectively online
This role offers the chance to build visible ownership in a high-profile category at the heart of Boots’ digital growth. You’ll deepen your expertise across ecommerce trading, category performance, launches and stakeholder leadership, while working in a business that believes in giving people the trust, support and opportunity to grow. From here, your path could lead into broader category leadership, wider digital trading responsibility or future opportunities across Boots’ beauty and ecommerce teams in Nottingham.
