About the role Product API serves as single source of truth for product data within Tesco and outside Tesco. we help our customers where we operate to get the most value from data. We run on the cloud as well as edge machines powering millions of customer shopping journey across different channels.As Software Development Manager in Product API , you’ll lead software development in one of Tesco’s most critial enterprise API. You’ll work with our software engineers, product managers, and analytics professionals to build robust software products that deliver valuable outcomes for our customers. You will be responsible for the software throughout the lifecycle; we maintain a DevOps culture, employing continuous integration and delivery, supporting our code through to production and beyond. You will be responsible for As a Software Development Manager, your primary responsibility is to build and maintain a passionate, engaged, and effective development team of engineers. You will need Experience with management of software engineering teams.• Track record of driving technical excellence and change.• Experience working in a global team distributed across multiple locations.• Very strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.• Experience working with multiple software development methodologies• Expertise in Backend engineering including Java, Spring boot, micronaut, dropwizard , redis, Couchbase , Kafka etc • Strong experience working with distributed systems and High throughput systems handing 100 of millions of transaction per day. • Enterprise integration patterns, microservice architectures and eventsourcing.• Containerisation ecosystems and other resource, workflow andorchestration systems.• Experience of automation, configuration management, Azure and private cloud.
