Job Description

  • Strategically and effectively managing the team, ensuring that they are being developed, have direction, and are provided with meaningful feedback
  • You will be responsible for the full day to day operation of the tray set up department and liaising with departments to achieve daily targets (E.g Kitchen, Pastry, Assembly, Stores, Planning etc.)
  • Adapting to the tight schedule, fast pace and constant changing requirements but continue to delivery results as per customer specifications and schedules
  • Understanding of functional and departmental goals as well as overall DO & CO business strategy
  • Being a role model and leading a team to ensure the exceptional DO & CO quality is delivered on time with maximum efficiency in accordance with correct menu specifications as displayed on all workstations.
  • Ensuring operations adhere to all SOP’s and ALL relevant Critical Control Points, Health and Safety, Food safety and all legal requirements. Ensuring compliant to unannounced audits
  • Defining systems of working to ensure quality of product, problems are resolved with solutions and continuous improvement initiatives are instigated
  • Providing reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management
  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with all section managers, ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service that elevates the DO & CO reputation and any highlighted problems have an implemented solution
  • Driving success by proactively managing team performance, provide development and succession planning opportunities
  • Ensuring the effective development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent and compliant application
  • Proactively taking steps to ensure own skills and knowledge continue to improve in all aspects including technical and leadership.
  • Accountable for the training of the staff for the shift and for records of re-trainings.
  • Report to senior management on any staff that do not comply with the department standard operation procedures.
  • Forward, strategic thinking leader always looking to exceed targets and expectations of the unit whilst maintaining the collectiveness of the team and culture of DO & CO (Ensure OTIF performance is maintained)
  • Maintaining good working relationships with all DO & CO family members
  • Managing labour with allocated budget as well as precise and accurate reporting to Senior Management
  • Taking responsibility for all your actions, support your team, and celebrate successes as a family

  • Flexible in the way you think, making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right for our partners and the DO & CO family
  • Have a great understanding and working knowledge of the whole unit and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands-on approach
  • Previous experience in a similar role or experience within a fresh food industry related sector
  • Highly proficient in excel with excellent working knowledge of reporting
  • Financial awareness -good, strong numerical reasoning ability as precise and accurate reporting is required to Senior Management
