The role
As a Product Pricing Manager within our Retail Commercial team, you'll take ownership of pricing analysis and strategy across our full retail range, working across more than 50,000 SKUs and monitoring price positions that can shift daily. This is a highly analytical role sitting at the intersection of data, commercial insight, and stakeholder influence, where your work will directly shape pricing decisions across every category in the business.
Day to day, you'll be running SQL queries, analysing CPI movements, tracking the impact of price investments and promotions, and building and maintaining Power BI reporting that gives category heads and directors a clear, accurate picture of where we stand competitively. You'll liaise regularly with stakeholders at all levels, so the ability to present data confidently, question assumptions, and land clear recommendations with senior audiences is just as important as the technical side.
This is a role with genuine variety and progression potential. You'll collaborate with Data Science to develop new pricing tools, get exposure to demand and dynamic pricing projects, and work within a team of five where your contribution will be visible and valued. If you have a solid pricing background, strong SQL and Power BI skills, and the commercial curiosity to turn complex data into decisions that have tangible results, this is a strong opportunity to develop within a business that is open to new ideas when the data backs them up.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse competitive price positions across more than 50,000 SKUs on a daily basis, identifying movements and highlighting changes and implications to buyers and category teams
- Run SQL queries and ad hoc analysis to support pricing decisions, price investment activity, and promotional evaluation across all retail categories
- Analyse CPI movements and their commercial impact, producing clear, actionable insight for heads of category and director-level stakeholders
- Build, adapt, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting views that give the business accurate, real-time visibility of pricing performance
- Collaborate with Data Science to develop new pricing tools and methodologies that improve analytical capability and support smarter commercial decisions
- Track pricing KPIs and evaluate the outcomes of strategic pricing changes, feeding insight back into continuous improvement and future planning
- Support cross-functional alignment on pricing across trading, buying, digital, marketing, and finance teams, contributing to a consistent commercial approach
About you
- Proven pricing experience, ideally within retail or e-commerce with a strong understanding of the variables that affect demand and price elasticity
- Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write and run queries independently to support ad hoc analysis and regular reporting
- Strong Power BI skills, with experience building, adapting, and maintaining dashboards and reporting views for senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, and working across multiple sheets with complex rules and parameters
- Comfortable working with large datasets at SKU level, with a sharp eye for spotting trends, anomalies, and opportunities within the numbers
- Confident presenting data and recommendations to senior stakeholders, with the ability to question assumptions and back up conclusions with evidence
- Driven and personable, a genuine team player who is enthusiastic about the work and not afraid to push for better ways of doing things
