About the role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop the Quality Control and Operational Standards teams across the Czech Republic
  • Ensure quality control processes allow only products meeting company specifications to be received and distributed
  • Drive compliance with food safety, consumer protection and operational standards requirements across the business
  • Monitor and implement new legislation related to food safety, product safety and consumer protection
  • Cooperate with Central European Quality teams on process improvements, projects and best practice sharing
  • Act as the key contact for state authorities and external organizations regarding food safety and compliance matters
  • Manage third-party service providers, monitor their performance and ensure KPI delivery
  • Lead emergency product withdrawal and recall processes when required
  • Oversee internal food safety audit and pest control systems to ensure operational compliance
  • Analyze performance data, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to support safe and compliant operations
  • Partner with Legal, Product, Buying, Operations and Distribution Centre teams to deliver the food safety agenda
  • Manage customer complaints related to food safety and oversee environmental and recycling fees administration

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or equivalent education
  • 5-6 years of experience in quality management, food safety, operational standards, retail compliance or a related field
  • Czech/Slovak (Native), English (Advanced, C1)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, consumer protection and relevant legislation
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work with regulatory authorities and external organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
  • Experience in retail operations is required
  • Experience working with audits, quality control systems and regulatory compliance is an advantage
  • Experience in FMCG or a retail environment is an advantage
