We have an outstanding opportunity for a Product Manager to join Tesco’s Pricing and Promotions team, part of the wider Retail Platform Team. This role will specifically be focused on solving our Price Integrity challenges across the entire Tesco estates; making sure the price is correct and complaint across Tesco stores and online, channels like Whoosh and Marketplace, as well as looking at observability across our UK, ROI and Central Europe businesses. Our mission is to deliver flexible pricing observability capabilities by building a compliant, secure, robust, performant, and scalable platform that ensures accurate pricing of baskets guaranteeing our customers always pay the right amount.
Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, you will work alongside other Product Managers, Engineers, Data Analysts and Technical Programme Managers, to help define the vision and strategy for your Product. In the Price Integrity team, you will focus on making sure we’re reliably and robustly present the right price and promotion on every customer transaction, which is a critical function for Tesco, as well as helping solve customer and business problems that span the basket pricing domain and instore capabilities. This is across all the countries where we have stores, and in support of Tesco’s core purpose and values.

You will be responsible for Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures.
•Evolve the product roadmap involving writing user stories, managing the backlog and priorities. •Understand and partner with multiple internal/ external stakeholders in line with the wider business and Product strategy. Specifically, across the Pricing and In-store functions. •Understand key user personas, customers and stakeholders for the product and their pain points. •Work alongside research, design, analytics, and engineering teams to design and develop solutions to solve real business needs. •Work as part of a wider product team, with a culture for shared goals, helping where appropriate as the need arises. •Understand and demonstrate all the features of your product to different audiences within and outside of my immediate product team. •Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories, personas, and acceptance tests and help the team in breaking down a complex piece of work/ epic into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster. •Be accountable for the performance/ adoption of your product and work towards increasing it. •Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
You will need Key Skills and Experience:
•Experience in the Product Management lifecycle, product delivery process and with an Agile mindset to discover, design, define, develop, and deliver small increments of the most important opportunities that will drive growth and value for the product. •Experience in creating a product vision and strategy and how they are used to align teams to collaborate and prioritise work around a shared outcome. •Experience and understanding of the value that the User Experience (UX) and User Interface Design (UI) disciplines bring to products. •Proven success in knowing who the different customers that use a product are, identify factors that influence, and impact customer behaviour and success shown in how to use the outputs from customer research sessions to influence the product roadmap. •Experience with experimentation and A/B testing and why it is important to validate ideas and hypotheses. •Experience of how to use relevant tools to produce and update roadmaps for my product. •Preferable, but not critical, is to have previous experience in a Pricing domain and / or with APIs.
