Part-time boyswear designer

We are looking for a creative and commercially minded boyswear designer to join an established fashion supplier in Spain on a part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer who understands the boyswear market, has a strong eye for trend and detail, and can translate ideas into commercially successful collections.

The Role

• Designing boyswear ranges from initial concept through to development
• Researching trends, colours, fabrics, graphics and key silhouettes
• Creating mood boards, colour palettes and design packs
• Developing commercially relevant styles for a fast-moving market
• Working closely with suppliers, garment technicians and customers
• Reviewing samples and making design amendments where required
• Keeping up to date with childrenswear trends and market developments

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven boyswear or childrenswear design experience
• A strong understanding of fashion trends and commercial product
• Excellent attention to detail and a good eye for colour, print and graphics
• Experience working with suppliers and garment development
• Good knowledge of fabrics, construction and manufacturing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and/or relevant CAD software would be an advantage.
