Overview
We are looking for a talented Midweight Graphic Designer to join our Graphics Team, working closely with and reporting to a Senior Designer to develop and deliver inspiring creative work across Selfridges.
As part of the wider Design and Creative team, you’ll help develop, design and deliver printed and physical graphics and packaging across Selfridges. Combining creative thinking, strong graphic design and artworking skills, visual research and cultural awareness, you’ll contribute to compelling creative work that evolves and strengthens the Selfridges brand.
You’ll work across a broad range of projects and scales – from printed invitations and packaging through to OOH, signage, hoardings, windows, Visual Merchandising sites and large-scale in-store installations.
Working collaboratively with Designers and the wider Creative, Production, Windows and Visual Merchandising teams, you’ll help bring campaigns and creative concepts to life, contributing ideas and fresh perspectives along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across projects from initial creative direction through to final delivery, including research, moodboards, design development and preparing print-ready artwork.
- Develop strong graphic design solutions in response to creative direction and the Selfridges brand.
- Design and artwork packaging across a variety of Selfridges products and ranges, applying creative concepts effectively across different formats, structures and print finishes.
- Work confidently with packaging cutter guides and supplied templates, creating accurate, production-ready artwork with excellent attention to detail.
- Work closely with the Senior Designer and wider Graphics Team to develop and deliver projects across a variety of formats and scales.
- Bring strong typography, layout and artworking skills to the development of printed, physical and packaging graphics.
- Conduct visual and cultural research, bringing relevant references, ideas and inspiration into the creative process.
- Develop creative ideas both independently and collaboratively, responding positively to feedback and creative direction.
- Collaborate with Designers and wider creative teams, including Creative Direction, Digital, Production, Windows and Visual Merchandising.
- Work with Production teams to help translate designs effectively into final physical outputs.
- Prepare accurate, high-quality artwork for print and production.
- Effectively manage your workload across multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced creative environment.
About you
- You’ll have experience working as a Junior or Midweight Graphic Designer within an agency, cultural, retail or in-house creative environment and be ready to develop further within a Midweight role.
- You’ll have a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and execution across graphic design, with experience in printed and physical graphics.
- You’ll have experience designing and artworking packaging, with an understanding of cutter guides, print production and preparing artwork for production.

- You’ll be curious and culturally aware, with a genuine interest in culture, media, fashion, art and design, and regularly look beyond graphic design for inspiration.
- You’ll be comfortable taking creative direction and feedback while also bringing your own ideas and point of view to projects.
- You’ll be collaborative, organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- You’ll be keen to develop your skills and experience, working closely with more senior members of the team while taking increasing ownership of your work.
- You’ll be a trusted, respectful and supportive colleague who contributes positively to the wider creative team.
