Location: Kensington with hybrid working
Reporting to: Group Creative Lead
Level: Midweight

About the role

We’re looking for a talented, ambitious Midweight Designer to join our Group Creative team and work across our brand portfolio.

Reporting to the Group Creative Lead, you’ll be a key creative partner within the team, taking briefs from initial idea through to final execution, bringing your own thinking to the table and helping shape how our brands look, feel and communicate.

You’ll work across digital and physical touchpoints, from campaigns and social through to menus, packaging, print, signage, in-venue experiences and video.

It’s a role for a designer who wants creative ownership, variety and the opportunity to see their work come to life in the real world.

What you’ll be doing

Creative & design

  • Develop creative concepts and design solutions across all our brands
  • Take projects from initial brief and concept through to final artwork and production
  • Create campaigns and visual identities across digital, social, print and physical spaces
  • Design menus, packaging, signage, promotional materials and in-venue collateral
  • Support the evolution of existing brand identities, protect our distinctive codes and apply throughout all touchpoints, both evergreen and campaign-led
  • Some experience in video and motion would be desirable
  • Work confidently across different brand personalities, audiences and visual languages
  • Bring ideas, references and cultural thinking to creative conversations
  • Present creative concepts and explain the thinking behind your work

Production & delivery

  • Create high-quality artwork across print and digital formats
  • Prepare production-ready files and manage artwork through to delivery
  • Work with printers, suppliers, photographers, illustrators and other external creative partners
  • Ensure work is accurate, consistent and beautifully executed
  • Help maintain organised brand assets and creative files

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing, brand, digital and other internal teams
  • Translate marketing objectives into strong creative solutions
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high creative standard
  • Take ownership of projects while knowing when to ask for input or direction
  • Support and collaborate with our Junior Designer, sharing knowledge and helping raise the overall quality of the team's output

What we’re looking for

  • Around 3–5 years’ professional design experience
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent graphic design, typography and visual thinking
  • Experience working across brand identity, campaigns and multiple formats
  • Someone who can develop an idea rather than simply execute a brief
  • Strong digital, social and print design skills
  • Excellent understanding of typography, layout, composition and image
  • Good knowledge of print production and artwork
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work at pace and manage multiple briefs simultaneously
  • Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, retail, lifestyle, fashion, culture or a similarly fast-moving consumer brand environment would be a bonus, but isn’t essential

The kind of person you are

  • You notice good design, whether it’s a restaurant menu, a campaign, a piece of packaging, a great typeface or something happening in culture, and you’re interested in understanding why it works
  • You care about the detail, but you don't get precious about it
  • You’re confident enough to have a point of view, but open enough to listen, collaborate and change direction when the work needs it
  • You can move quickly without making things feel rushed
  • You’re organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership, but you enjoy being part of a team

How to apply

Please send us your CV and portfolio, along with a short note telling us a little about yourself and why you think you'd be a good fit for the role.

Your portfolio is the most important part. We’d love to see examples of work that demonstrate how you think, how you solve problems and how you turn ideas into great design.

Salary range

  • £38,000 - £40,000 per year
