About the role

You’ll be accountable for the full delivery of Maintenance Operations across our Livingston Distribution Centre, leading a team of around 10 multi‑skilled technicians covering a variety of different specialisms.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across Property, DC Management, and our external partners, you’ll make sure our site is safe, compliant, and performing at its best.

  • Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.

You will be responsible for

Maintenance Pathway — driving your team through the Maintenance Pathway to required business levels.

Brand Standards — ensuring uniform, service, and work quality reflect the Tesco brand.

Compliance — meeting and exceeding all legal, statutory, and Tesco compliance standards.

Escalation Management — ensuring issues are escalated and resolved effectively.

KPI Delivery — achieving KPIs and implementing improvement plans where needed.

Diversity & Inclusion — championing an inclusive culture within your team.

Health & Safety — acting as a custodian of safety across the site.

Insight & Strategy — using data and insight to shape long‑term thinking.

Coaching & Development — helping colleagues grow, succeed, and be their best.

Collaboration — co‑developing solutions with the wider business to ensure local ownership.

Contractor Performance — ensuring first‑fix performance and strong on‑site delivery.

Budget Management — forecasting and controlling budgets with a cost‑conscious mindset.

Team Leadership — managing workload, capacity, and development for a high‑performing technician team.

Problem Solving — identifying issues early and developing effective, sustainable solutions.

Continuous Improvement — driving change, improving productivity, and delivering year‑on‑year performance gains.

DCM Engagement — attending DCM meetings and working closely with DC leadership day‑to‑day.

Stakeholder Relationships — building strong partnerships across all functions and with key contractors.

Community & Sustainability — putting customers, colleagues, and the planet at the heart of every decision.

Site Standards — delivering consistently high maintenance and safety standards across the DC.

You will need

A technical qualification in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, or Building Services (preferred).

Proven success in people leadership and team development.

Experience managing remote facilities or large‑scale maintenance operations.

Technical Maintenance Experience in a similar environment.
