About the role The Global Mobility Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end international assignment operations, ensuring seamless employee mobility experiences while maintaining compliance with company policies, immigration regulations, tax obligations, payroll requirements, and vendor service standards. The role provides operational leadership for global mobility programs, supports process improvements, and serves as a key point of contact for assignees, HR teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers. This role provides support, guidance and coaching to the mobility specialists within the team.
The incumbent will leverage an external assignment management systems and other mobility related systems to drive operational excellence, data accuracy, reporting, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction. You will be responsible for
  • Manage end-to-end international assignment lifecycle activities, including: Assignment initiation, Compensation inputs, Cost projections, Assignment documentation, Assignment extensions, Repatriation and localization activities, Assignment closures
  • Ensure assignments are administered in line with company mobility policies and governance standards.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Rewards, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth assignment execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to assignees throughout the assignment lifecycle.
  • Maintain working knowledge of global immigration processes and requirements.
  • Coordinate visa and work permit activities with immigration vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Track immigration cases and ensure timely renewals and compliance.
  • Escalate immigration risks and compliance concerns proactively.
  • Support employees and managers with immigration-related queries and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate global assignment tax compliance activities with tax service providers.
  • Monitor tax briefing, tax return filing, and tax equalization processes.
  • Track tax deadlines and ensure timely completion of employee and employer obligations.
  • Support shadow payroll and expatriate payroll processes where applicable.
  • Reconcile tax-related reports and assist with compliance audits.
  • Ensure accurate transfer of data between mobility, payroll, and tax vendors.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, process maps, controls, and governance documentation.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to international mobility programs.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
You will need
  • Master’s degree in business, Human Resources, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
  • 4-7 years of experience in Global Mobility, International HR Operations, or Expatriate Management.
  • Experience managing international assignment programs.
  • Experience working with immigration, tax, payroll, and relocation vendors.
  • Prior people management or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in reporting, analytics, and dashboard management.
