About the role The Product Analytics and Experimentation team sits within the Data & Analytics directorate in the Technology department. Our mission is to deliver insightful and actionable data through reporting, analysis, and experimentation; with a focus on establishing best-practice processes and enabling data-driven decision making across all supported product teams. The Tesco Groceries & Clubcard app and store self-checkout tills are amongst the digital products supported by our team.

The above information is a shortened summary, refer to our policies for full details You will be responsible for You will be directly supporting our strategic Personalisation product teams. Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business (you’ll likely be working on some of the newest innovations in the business), these teams are responsible for a range of product features including triggered communications, recommendation APIs, and growing a personalised digital experience for customers.
The following list provides an overview of some of the role’s key responsibilities:
•Leading the implementation and use of Adobe’s Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) across a variety of product analytics priorities. This will include working across business and customer teams to validate, utilise, and surface data in the best ways using CJA. •Owning relationships with product managers, UX leads and Data Science Managers, helping them define objectives and key results, setting targets, analysing product releases, defining and validating hypothesis, and making product recommendations based on insight.•Executing end-to-end analysis: gathering and shaping requirements; defining success metrics; identifying and validating various sources of data; identifying and validating methods of analysis; delivering impactful insights and liaising across teams to ensure the best recommendations are identified and acted on. •Using advanced analytics and statistical techniques to answer business questions, making recommendations to improve customer experience and business results.•Being the team expert on digital and product analytics; ensuring that you drive best practice across the team by guiding, training, and mentoring others•Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
This role will best suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is well organised, pragmatic, and a lateral thinker with an inquisitive mind who is motivated to make change for the better and, most importantly, puts our customers first.
The position can be based either in our Digital Innovation Centre in Farringdon, London, or in our head office in Welwyn Garden City, with some occasional travel to the other office required. In line with our values, we strongly embrace flexible working options. You will need

•Strong Adobe Analytics skills and understanding of web analytics. Experience of Adobe Journey Optimiser (AJO) or CJA in previous roles preferable, but not required.

•Working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and understanding how to contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle. Being able to influence and drive innovation without authority.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you must be able to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience.

•Several years of experience in analytics positions.

•Expert use of digital analytics and visualisation tools for big data analysis.

•Statistical modelling and analytics techniques.

•Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership

•Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation.
