Junior Merchandiser

An established fashion retailer is looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join their wider merchandising team. They're looking for someone to take ownership of a department, shaping how its ranges are planned, bought and traded. You'll sit at the heart of the product team, partnering closely with buying to deliver sales, margin and stock targets.

In this role, you'll own the WSSI for your department, forecasting sales, stock and intake and reforecasting in season in response to trade. You'll build seasonal financial plans and line plans, set option counts and depth of buy, and manage open to buy to keep the department well stocked without overcommitting. You'll lead weekly trade analysis, pulling out clear actions on repeats, cancellations and stock movement, and present performance to senior stakeholders.

Your work will directly influence commercial outcomes across the business. You'll set and manage markdown and promotional strategy for your department, balancing sell-through against margin and brand. You'll work with Allocation to optimise stock across stores and channels, negotiate with suppliers on deliveries and repeats, and conduct end-of-season hindsighting to shape future ranges.

You will be someone with experience as an assistant merchandiser or junior merchandiser within a fashion retail setting, ready to take on greater ownership. You'll need advanced Excel skills and a strong grasp of WSSI, open to buy and range planning. You'll be confident presenting to senior stakeholders, commercially decisive and able to translate trading data into clear, practical actions.

The role offers a £42,000 plus benefits package. The retailer is based in London, and you’re required to be in the office 4 days a week.
