Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join our People & Development Team. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, proactive and enjoys building trusted relationships across the business.
Working closely with managers and leaders across our hotels and Central Services teams, you'll provide practical people advice, support positive employee experiences and help drive consistent, fair people decisions. You'll bring strong employee relations expertise, sound judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively, while using data and insight to strengthen management capability and support our values-driven culture.
What You'll Be Doing:
As an HR Advisor, you will provide expert people advice and guidance across our hotels, Central Services teams and Little Bill & Impress Laundry. Working closely with managers and leaders, you'll help create a positive employee experience while ensuring people matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation.
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, capability and workplace conduct matters.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to managers on a wide range of people matters.
- Supporting investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring processes are fair, compliant and well managed.
- Coaching managers to build confidence in handling employee relations issues effectively and consistently.
- Promoting early and informal resolutions to workplace concerns wherever appropriate.
- Reviewing policies, procedures and guidance, while supporting compliance with employment law and best practice.
- Analysing employee relations data and trends to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Building trusted relationships with managers and leaders across the business, providing insight and support on people priorities.
- Supporting organisational change, consultation activities and wider People & Development initiatives.
- Championing a culture of respect, inclusion, accountability and open communication across the organisation.
You'll also contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance the employee experience, strengthen management capability and support Imperial London Hotels in becoming an employer of choice.
What We're Looking For:
- You are an experienced HR Advisor, Employee Relations Advisor or Employee Relations specialist.
- Have a genuine passion for employee relations and confidence managing complex people cases.
- Naturally curious, with the ability to identify root causes rather than simply treating symptoms.
- Proactive in addressing concerns before they develop into formal issues.
- Able to balance empathy with accountability and sound commercial judgement.
- Confident building trust and credibility with managers in fast-paced operational environments.
- Comfortable challenging decisions constructively where they are inconsistent, unsupported or do not align with our values.
- Calm, objective and professional when handling sensitive, complex or contentious situations.
- Enjoys being visible in the business and building strong relationships with managers and team members.
- Committed to improving processes, management capability and the overall employee experience.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
What You'll Get:
- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Access to ILH Training Academy programmes, apprenticeships and supported study
- Holiday Purchase Scheme
- Complimentary uniform dry cleaning, plus discounted personal dry cleaning
- Interest-Free Season Ticket Loan
- Workplace Pension
- Team Member flat-rate and 50% Friends & Family hotel discount
- 50% discount across ILH food and beverage outlets
- Discounted drinks at Blooms Café
- Employee-funded Health Cash Plan
- Local Bloomsbury discounts
- Early Pay access

- Salary sacrifice schemes including nursery care, Cycle to Work and technology
