Head of Category

Our client, an established international broker, is looking for an experienced Head of Category 5 to set up, lead and grow its new UAE institutional introduction and promotion business. This senior, entrepreneurial role reports directly to the Manager of the UAE entity. You’ll run the business as its commercial lead, much like a business-unit owner, with full responsibility for strategy, performance and the P&L.

You’ll personally originate and develop institutional relationships across the UAE, including asset managers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, family offices, brokers and financial institutions, and introduce them to the group’s offshore broking entity. As the business grows, you’ll build and lead a high-performing team, set clear KPIs and develop strategic partnerships and referral networks. You’ll also make sure all activity stays within the firm’s licence and regulatory permissions.

You’ll need to be eligible for CMA approval as Head of Category, and at least five years’ experience in financial markets. Previous CMA approval or a similar regulated senior role is a strong advantage. You’ll also need an established UAE institutional network, a proven record of winning institutional business, and a background in brokerage, FX, derivatives or financial markets.
