We, the leading foodservice and hospitality provider across the Island of Ireland, are looking for an experienced General Manager to join our talented team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in a busy city centre location.

As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the contract, delivering exceptional foodservice and hospitality experiences. You will lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team while working closely with the client to ensure outstanding service delivery and long-term partnership success. You will ensure the contract is fully compliant and operated commercially in line with growth and retention targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete action plans following client satisfaction surveys to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a passionate ambassador for the business, promoting the unit and championing company values.
  • Ensure all hospitality and catering services are delivered to the highest standards, identifying opportunities to upsell and increase revenue.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, maintaining open communication and exceeding expectations.
  • Analyse and manage all in-unit costs effectively, ensuring commercial targets are met.
  • Monitor, record, and minimise food waste in line with sustainability goals.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are communicated clearly to relevant teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and manage labour schedules within budget, adapting to business needs.
  • Minimise agency usage and control overtime spend.
  • Adjust labour allocation in line with sales and operational demand.
  • Ensure budgets are understood, managed effectively, and consistently achieved.
  • Develop and implement succession plans to support team growth and retention.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards across the operation.
  • Encourage participation in engagement initiatives such as ‘Your Voice’ and implement resulting action plans.
  • Conduct regular team briefings, fostering a positive, motivated, and high-performing culture.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within a similar environment.
  • Strong background in hospitality, including restaurants, hotels, or high-end/fine dining environments.
  • A hands-on leader with a passion for food, service excellence, and team development.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, financial management, and operational leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A natural leader who can inspire, coach, and develop others.
  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
