Commis Chef (Nights)

PublishedPublished: 20/10/2026

Our Production Kitchen team is looking for a Commis Chef to produce fresh juices overnight for our iconic Food Halls. You will support every stage of the process, from preparing ingredients to bottling, labelling and delivering the finished products, ensuring they meet Harrods’ exacting standards for quality, presentation and food safety.

You’ll enjoy a competitive salary of £34,452+ tronc*, along with access to our renowned Harrods benefits, including generous discounts across our stores and restaurants.

About the Role

As a Commis Chef in Juice Production, you’ll be an important part of our Production Kitchen team, preparing and bottling fresh juices for our Food Halls.

Working overnight and reporting to the Chef de Partie, you’ll independently manage the juice-production process in line with approved recipes and daily production requirements. You’ll maintain consistently high standards of product quality, food safety, labelling, hygiene and organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing fruit in accordance with approved recipes and daily production requirements.
  • Safely operating, cleaning and sanitising commercial juicers, blenders and associated equipment.
  • Bottling, sealing and accurately labelling finished juices with the required product information.
  • Completing production and food-safety records, including temperature checks and wastage sheets, while ensuring effective stock rotation.
  • Reporting ingredient shortages, equipment faults and quality concerns, and providing a clear handover to the daytime team.

This is a fully on-site, overnight role based in Knightsbridge, working from 9pm to 6am, five nights out of seven.

About You

You will be dependable, organised and comfortable working in autonomy. You will work accurately at pace, follow recipes and food-safety procedures carefully, and take pride in producing consistently high-quality products.

You will also:

  • Have excellent attention to detail when following recipes, labelling products and completing records.
  • Be able to organise your workload and meet daily production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand the importance of hygiene, allergen controls, temperature monitoring and stock rotation.
  • Communicate clearly when reporting equipment faults, ingredient shortages or production concerns.
  • Be comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving ingredients, bottles and crates.

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food-production environment would be beneficial, but specific juice-production experience is not essential. More important will be your positive approach, reliability and willingness to learn how our production operation works.
