You will be responsible for
- Be responsible for product safety, quality and legality across the dairy and frozen categories and supplier base.
- Manage and closely cooperate with Suppliers in terms of Tesco Food Standards, agreeing action plans to drive improvement and achieve high scores.
- Deliver regular technical visits to production sites.
- Develop new own brand products and approve technical specifications and product labelling to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor all quality and customer feedback, implementing actions to resolve issues raised within the categories, and also management and reduction of customer complaints.
- Conduct and manage product testing requirements, including product tests and quality reviews against product specifications and competitor reviews.
- Be responsible for regular KPI reporting within Head Office in Central Europe and in the UK.
- Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Provide technical support in resolving state administration control matters.
- Handle ad-hoc and special category projects.
- Complete, update and upload technical data to relevant platforms/databases.
You will need
- University degree at Food Technology & Food Science
- Experience in the food industry (dairy or frozen) or similar area in retail (manufacturing and product development is an advantage)
- Knowledge of European and local Slovak legislation
- Knowledge of the supplier environment is an advantage
- Good user knowledge of MS Office (World, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Great knowledge of English (verbal and written)
- Great knowledge of Slovak (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good time management skills and flexible approach
- Good communication skills and maintain good relationship with the team and all colleagues
- Driving license B, active driver, no restrictions to travel
