Cafe Supervisor - Baker Street - Earn up to £34,000
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Café Supervisor to lead the team at one of our busy contract catering sites, delivering high-quality staff dining and café services to a large volume of customers each day.
You’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, leading from the front and supporting the smooth and efficient running of the café operation. You’ll step up in the Manager’s absence, maintain consistently high standards, and confidently handle challenges as they arise.
What you’ll be doing as a Café Supervisor:Complete opening and closing checks and ensure all service areas are set to the required standard
Keep the café, front of house and service areas clean, organised and welcoming
Support staff rotas, stock control, deliveries and waste management
Lead, motivate and delegate effectively to the café team
Support the day-to-day operation and assist with administration and problem-solving
Take responsibility for the operation in the Manager’s absence
Maintain brand standards, product knowledge and compliance with health & safety and allergen procedures
Deliver excellent customer service and respond proactively to customer needs
Support promotions, upselling and other sales opportunities
Deal confidently and professionally with additional requests and operational challenges
Experience working in a busy café, restaurant or contract catering environment
Previous supervisory or team-leading experience
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the confidence to challenge when required
A proactive approach and willingness to develop and progress
Good commercial awareness and understanding of KPIs
A resilient, hands-on approach to working in a fast-paced environment
High standards of professionalism and customer service
Good knowledge of food safety, health & safety and allergen requirements
