The Paper area is a critical profit driver for the business, with a highly competitive and changing competitor landscape. Our strategy is evolving to meet the challenge and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help design and manage that change. The area has an important role to play in our sustainability goals, through existing products and supply chains, developing new products that meet emerging customer needs.
This role sources, buys & sells great quality products across our Toilet roll, Kitchen Towel and Facial Tissue ranges and drives the promotional plan.   • Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary

  • Managing a customer focused, long term category strategy that delivers sustainable growth for the business & drives market out-performance.
  • Managing and developing both branded & OB suppliers, to deliver our customer propositions and our joint business targets whilst ensuring that product quality is achieved & maintained.
  • Working with suppliers to build a strong Buy/Move plan that ensures our products are manufactured, moved & sold in the most efficient way possible.
  • Building and executing a market leading trade plan to grow share and outperform the market.
  • Managing and developing a Wl1 buyer and leading NWT's including commodities, Product Development and Technical to effectively manage and evolve a market leading range and commercial position.
  • Forecasting and updating models to inform teams of cost negotiations and changes to profit delivery plans. managing budgets effectively.
  • Identifying and assessing new suppliers to deliver market leading innovation.
  • Being a part of a high performing team and taking part in wider Natural Work Team projects to support both category and own development.
  • Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and hand-over protocols and successfully completing all the training so that you have zero GSCOP breaches.
  • Ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, reporting GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt, and leading a culture of compliance within the team.
