About the role The Business Support Northern Ireland Graduate Programme includes two placements: Stretch Placement: A role outside your academic background that broadens your business knowledge and develops new skills Core Placement: A role aligned with your interests and career aspirations within Business Support Each placement is structured around clear objectives and measurable outcomes, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while building experience across different areas of the business. Throughout the programme, you'll gain exposure to a variety of business support functions, which may include: Business Operations and Planning Project Coordination and Delivery Stakeholder and Relationship Management People and Culture Initiatives Finance and Business Reporting Administrative and Process Improvement Activities Communications and Engagement Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence You'll collaborate with teams across the business to support projects, analyse information, improve processes, and help colleagues deliver great outcomes for customers and communities. By the end of the programme, you'll have developed a strong understanding of how different functions work together to support a successful retail business, equipping you with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to build a rewarding career within Tesco. Salary: €35,000 Programme start date: 6 September 2027 What is in it for you Based within our Northern Ireland business, you'll gain exposure to a variety of functions that are critical to keeping our operations running smoothly and delivering for customers every day. From supporting key business processes and projects to working with colleagues across stores and head office teams, you'll play an important role in helping our business succeed. Annual Leave: Starting at 23 days per annum You will be responsible for Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll take part in a structured 18-month development programme that includes: Upskilling workshops focused on business operations, project management, stakeholder engagement, and professional development Personal development sessions to build confidence, communication, and leadership skills Store visits and operational experiences to understand how the wider business works Networking opportunities with graduates and leaders across Tesco Ireland and Northern Ireland Mentoring and coaching from experienced colleagues who will support your development throughout the programme At Tesco, graduates are given meaningful responsibility from the start, supported by a strong network of colleagues who are committed to helping them grow and succeed.
