As Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the success of the store, working closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop a high-performing team and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store.
- Lead, coach, and develop the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Drive sales, KPIs and overall commercial performance.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience that drives loyalty and repeat business.
- Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Analyse trading performance and support the implementation of action plans to maximise results.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are executed to the highest level.
- Assist with staffing, rota planning, and payroll control.
- Support stock management, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive working environment.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring the store always reflects the retailer’s premium positioning.
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or Supervisor within a premium retail environment.
- Background within premium fashion, luxury, lifestyle, or high-service retail.
- Passionate about customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
- Commercially minded with experience delivering sales growth and KPI performance.
- Strong visual merchandising awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Energetic, hands-on, and confident leading from the front.
- A genuine passion for fashion, trends, and retail excellence.
Salary Up to £29,000 per annum
