
Assistant Merchandiser – West London

As Assistant Merchandiser, you'll play a key role in supporting the Merchandising team to maximise sales, profitability, and stock performance across multiple product categories. Working closely with Buying, Planning and Retail teams, you'll help ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time, contributing directly to the success of the business while developing your own merchandising career.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Merchandiser in managing departmental sales, stock and profit performance.
- Analyse trading reports and identify opportunities to maximise sales and margin.
- Review weekly sales performance and make recommendations based on trading trends.
- Assist with forecasting, stock planning and intake management.
- Manage replenishment and stock allocation across stores and online channels.
- Monitor stock levels and identify risks and opportunities within the season.
- Support markdown and promotional activity to optimise stock productivity.
- Build strong working relationships with Buying, Supply Chain and Retail teams.
- Produce accurate reports and provide commercial insights to support decision-making.
- Assist with seasonal planning and range reviews.
- Maintain data accuracy across all merchandising systems and reports.
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant Merchandiser, Senior Allocator, Merchandise Admin Assistant or similar merchandising role.
- Experience within fashion, lifestyle, premium or retail environments preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Commercially aware with a genuine interest in fashion and retail trends.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Proactive, driven, and eager to develop a long-term career within merchandising.
Salary Up to £32,000 per annum
