Assistant Merchandiser – West London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Merchandiser to join a leading fashion and accessories retailer. You'll play an important role in supporting the merchandising function, helping to drive sales, profitability, and stock efficiency across your product areas. Working closely with Merchandisers, Buyers, and Designers, you'll contribute to delivering the right products in the right place at the right time, ensuring customers receive a compelling and trend-led product offering across stores and digital channels.
In this role, you'll support the planning and management of product ranges by analysing sales performance, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with demand forecasting. You'll help manage intake, replenishment, and allocations, ensuring stock availability is optimised while minimising risk. You'll produce regular trading reports, identify opportunities and challenges within the department, and provide data-driven recommendations to support commercial decision-making. You'll also work closely with the wider buying and merchandising teams to maintain the critical path and ensure key deadlines are achieved.
To succeed, you'll have previous experience in a merchandising, assistant merchandising, or allocation role within a retail environment. You'll be highly analytical, confident working with large volumes of data and comfortable using reports and systems to support commercial decisions. Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience with WSSI management, stock control and forecasting would be advantageous, as would experience within an omni-channel retail business.
You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive team where you'll have the opportunity to develop your merchandising knowledge and progress your career. You'll be proactive, commercially aware and passionate about retail, with a genuine interest in understanding customer behaviour and market trends. In return, you'll gain exposure to a dynamic trading environment, work alongside experienced retail professionals and play a key role in delivering the commercial success of a well-established and respected brand.
