About the role

Prague, Czechia — Hybrid (3 days onsite)

We’re looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer. In this role, you’ll support and enhance the systems that keep our business running — combining deep technical troubleshooting with hands‑on work across Linux, databases, and infrastructure.

You’ll be the go‑to expert for critical applications, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement across our technology landscape.

You will be responsible for Own application support — ensure reliability of key business systems and live environments. Troubleshoot and analyse issues — perform root‑cause analysis, escalate when needed, and prevent repeat incidents. Lead major incidents — coordinate communication and drive resolution. Improve support processes — contribute to post‑incident reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing. Work with infrastructure — support VMware on‑prem environments and Azure services. Automate operations — including Linux OS patching and scripting. Administer systems — across both Windows and Linux servers. Participate in on‑call support (1 week/month, compensated). Engage in cross‑functional training within Fulfilment/Distribution services. You will need Core Skills
  • Oracle and SQL expertise — ability to write queries and work confidently with relational databases
  • Strong Linux command‑line knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand code (shell scripts, C, etc.) and write simple scripts
  • Solid understanding of incident & problem management practices
  • Clear communication with both end users and global engineering teams
  • English at B2 level

Nice to Have
  • Experience in Agile or OpsDev environments
  • Awareness of retail technology and non‑functional requirements
