The role
We are looking for a 3D Modeller to join our 3D Studio team at NEXT. You will help to produce high-quality product imagery for the NEXT family of websites, creating accurate, production-ready 3D assets.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a developing department where your work will directly support high-volume rendering across various product ranges, fabrics, and roomsets. You will work closely with other members of the 3D team, as well as the wider creative and studio teams, to support NEXT’s creative vision and commercial requirements.
Working within a collaborative 3D team, you will build and maintain strong relationships with your Team Lead and fellow team members who will support you in upholding consistent standards and mastering our shared production pipeline.
What you'll take on
Create high-quality, production-ready 3D models that meet both artistic and technical requirements.
Produce accurate 3D assets directly from briefs, reference imagery, product dimensions, and range information.
Prepare clean, well-structured scene files with appropriate naming, scale, topology, UVs, and material assignments.
Optimise your models for efficient rendering while maintaining the required level of visual quality.
Build adaptable assets capable of supporting multiple product options, including different sizes, fabrics, finishes, and configurations.
Review and quality-check your own work before handover, ensuring geometry, scale, and render readiness are up to standard.
Collaborate with creative and production teams to produce the best possible imagery in an efficient, commercially focused way.
What you'll bring
Proficiency in 3D modelling techniques and competence in using industry-standard 3D modelling software.
Experience with Autodesk Maya is preferred, although strong candidates with Blender or 3ds Max backgrounds will also be considered.
A solid understanding of topology, UV mapping, baking, materials, and rendering.
Strong artistic skills with an excellent eye for detail, scale, proportion, texture, and visual accuracy.
The ability to interpret briefs and reference material with a commercial mindset and strong brand awareness.
A focused, driven, and hard-working approach, demonstrating the ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable experience with furniture, interiors, or product modelling within a creative studio or high-volume visual content environment.
